loving the mystery
When you fall in love you’re taken over by a current that is so much more powerful than anything you could ever control or choose. It comes to you whether you ask for it or not. And this Love has the same power to take away, dissolve and remove without asking for your permission. It’s a wild power that no one can predict or box or label even if you try to fold it up neatly and keep it safe, it will always remind you that nothing of this world can be held so tightly. Nothing belongs to you.
Love is this wild mystery and it will stay that way forever.
It loves to play with us and sometimes this hurts but it’s always working to help us and guide us and awaken us no matter who we are or what we do. It is always inviting us to be real and honest and true. It wants us to drop the filters, the masks and the layers, so we can experience the absolute freedom of being ourselves.
Then it gets easier to be here because there’s no more pretending to be anything other than yourself. Because you know you have been made by this force and it took a lot for you to be here and where you are today. Sometimes it makes sense and you find meaning in spiritual teachings, astrology, tarot readings, healing techniques, practices, books and the search for something known and fixed. But then there is so much freedom in just letting it all go and allowing life to be this very tender mystery. Allowing love to move through you and guide you moment to moment.
It’s so liberating to just let yourself be and experience life which is just so full and overflowing with endless beauty and Grace and magic and possibility and heartache and tears. And we don’t always need words to say it or express it or make sense of it. It can be a dance, a song, a gesture, the way you set the table, light a candle, make a drink, call a friend, walk to work, the way you touch the world with your eyes and the way this seeing lets everything be exactly as it is.
